One dead, 9 injured in road mishap in Assam’s Karimganj

Guwahati, Jun 13 (IBNS): One person was killed and nine others injured in a road mishap in Assam’s Karimganj district on Wednesday.

According to the reports, the incident took place on National Highway 6 at Badarpur, where there was head on collision between two marriage party vehicles.

A total of 10 people were injured in the accident and they were rushed to a hospital where one person named Manik Lal Namasudra succumbed to his injuries.

Nine other injured persons have been referred to Silchar Medical College hospital for better treatment.

“The incident happened with head on collision between a Traveller vehicle and an Alto car. 10 people were injured in the accident and one among them died,” a police officer said.
