New Delhi, Mar 29 (IBNS) : Putting at rest all speculation RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that he is not in the race for the President of India, media reports said.

Speaking to reporters in Nagpur on the occasion of Gudi Parva, the  Marathi New Year, Bhagwat said, "I am not in the race for the President".

"Think of such news as entertainment and leave it at that," he said.

BJP ally Shiv Sena had earlier this week proposed Bhagwat's name as the head of the country while  the party's MP and spokesperson Sanjay Raut extended support to any such move by the NDA in the future.

President Pranab Mukherjee's term comes to end in July.
