No talks with Pak till terrorism continues: Sushma
New Delhi, May 28 (IBNS) External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who took charge of her ministry on Wednesday, said India has made it clear to Pakistan that talks with the neighbouring country cannot move forward till it continues to remain soft on the issue of terrorism.
"Yesterday's meeting with the Pakistan Prime Minister (Nawaz Sharif) was a positive one. We told Pakistan that we want good bilateral relations but also made it clear that talks cannot go ahead if terrorism continues," said Swaraj.
"We also raised the issue of speedy trial of the 26/11 accused," she said.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the Pakistan PM that the sound of talks get lost in the sound of bombs, so order to hear and get heard the sound of bombs needs to stop," she added.
Swaraj, who became the first woman External Affairs Minister of India, said her priority will be to promote the strengths of India across the world and strengthen and maintain good bilateral relations with all countries.
