New Delhi, Jan 16 (IBNS): Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit has said her party is not looking for an alliance with the AAP at this stage.

According to NDTV, the three-time Delhi CM said: "AAP and BJP both are an equal challenge to us, we will meet the challenges together."

Speaking to the media, she indicated the Congress did not approve of the way the AAP had spoken about former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in the Delhi Assembly.

"The way they talked about Rajiv Gandhi in the Assembly... we were hurt by it and it was not right," she said. "There have been no talks with AAP."

Speaking on the party president, Dikshit, 80, said: "We want Rahul Gandhi to be the PM of the nation."

AAP, on the other hand, confirmed there was not talk yet of a truck with the Congress and said the party had started preparing for the general elections, NDTV added.
