Nirav Modi's four Swiss accounts with $6 million frozen
London, June 27 (IBNS): Switzerland authorities have frozen four Swiss bank accounts of fugitive Indian diamond merchant Nirav Modi and his sister Purvi Modi.
According to reports, the total amount in the frozen amounts along with assets is around $6 million.
The 48-year-old is lodged at a London jail in the Rs 13,600 crore PNB scam. Earlier this month, his fourth bail application was denied.
Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi are the prime accused in the scam involving fake guarantees in the name of the state-run lender to secure loans overseas.
Modi and his uncle Choksi left the country in 2018 before the CBI registered a case against him.
