Srinagar, Mar 24 (IBNS): The son of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman has gone missing from Srinagar city and has reportedly joined Kashmir based militant outfit Hizbul Mujahedin.

The group is headed by Syed Salahudin.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai was recently nominated as interim Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat after Syed Ali Geelani stepped down voluntarily.

Family sources said that Junaid Ashraf Sehrai had gone to offer Friday prayers but did not return home.

Today, family went shocked after seeing his photo carrying AK-47 in his hands.

Jammu and Kashmir police official said they are verifying the facts whether he joined any outfit or not.

His family has already lodged a missing report on Friday.
