Naxals torch four road construction vehicles in Gadchiroli

Gadchiroli, Mar 13 (UNI/IBNS) Naxals on Wednesday torched four road construction vehicles in Puske village of this district of Maharashtra. 

According to reports, the ultras were against the road being constructed between the Etapalli to Gatta road.


The construction work had started around five days back.

 

This morning, the Naxals stormed the houses of the villagers and intimidated them to demand immediate suspension of the project.

 

Later, they set four four road construction vehicles on fire so as to impede the work and terrorise the villagers.


The under-construction road was being built owing to non-availability of proper infrastructure resulting in multiple deaths of pregnant women, reports said.
