Hundreds of devotees thronged to the Kamakhya temple as the nine-day long Navratri began from Saturday.

The Kamakhya temple complex was reopened for devotees on Oct 11 after a gap of almost seven months.

The main doors of the temple, leading to the sanctum sanctorum remained shut, but devotees turned up for the parikrama of the temple.
