Narendra Modi feels 'saddened' by Madhya Pradesh boat capsize incident which left 11 people killed

Bhopal, Sept 13 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday condoled the loss of lives in the boat capsizing incident during Ganesh idol immersion ceremony in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal city.

Modi said the incident left him saddened.

"The capsizing of a boat at Khatlapura Ghat in Bhopal is saddening. In this hour of grief, our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives: PM
@narendramodi," PMO India tweeted.

The incident occurred in Bhopal's Khatlapura Ghat after a boat, which had set out for immersion of Ganesh idol, capsized.

A search operation is still going on in the area.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has ordered ministerial probe into the incident.

He also announced ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin.
