Narendra Modi condoles deaths of several people in mishaps in MP, UP

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the deaths of several people in a road accident in UP's Mathura and in a fire incident in Madhya Pradesh's Indore city on Saturday.

In both the incidents, the Prime Minister prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

"The road accident in Mathura is heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this tragedy. I wish the injured a speedy recovery," the PM said in a tweet.

"The fire incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh is very sad. I convey my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragedy. I wish all the injured a speedy recovery," the Prime Minister tweeted.

Seven members of a family, including three women and a child, were killed and two others were injured, when a car collided with a stationary vehicle on Yamuna Expressway near Mathura.

Police sources told UNI the incident took place at around 0500 hours , when the car carrying nine persons collided with an unidentified vehicle near Bajana cut in Nauhjheel area on Yamuna Expressway.

The victims were returning to Sadarpura in Gautam Buddha Nagar after attending a marriage function at their native village Bahadurpur in Hardoi district.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the death and has conveyed his sympathies towards the bereaved families.

Seven persons, including women, died and five were injured on Saturday after a blaze erupted in the early hours at an unauthorised triple-storeyed building in Swarn Bagh Colony within Vijay Nagar Police Station limits of Madhya Pradesh's Indore.
