Narendra Modi can not oppose the RSS : Rahul Gandhi

| | Sep 17, 2015, at 04:50 pm
New Delhi, Sept 17 (IBNS) Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has said that no one in the Bharaitya Janata Party, including Prime Minister Narnedra Modi can oppose the writ of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh that governs the party, reports said.

Gandhi said this during a closed door meeting of the two-day national executive of Youth Congress, which concluded on Wednesday.

The Congress Vice President also criticised the Narnedra Modi government over the land bill issue saying the NDA government had to allow the Ordinance to lapse as it had tried to push ahead with it without consulting stakeholders.

The Congress, he said, had brought the 2013 land law after thorough consultations.

Rahul also hailed the Youth Congress workers for their agitation and said the pressure they kept up forced the government to withdraw the land ordinance.

Replying a question by one of the participants in the meeting Rahul said, "the RSS always imposes. BJP always follows their views. BJP cannot go against the RSS. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot".

He told the Youth Congress workers that the future leadership in Congress at the Centre and states will emerge from the youth wing of the party.

The two-day national executive meet reviewed the performance of various state units of Youth Congress and discussed the plans for next six months .
