Nagaland government extends lockdown till June 18

Kohima: In view of the COVID-19 surge in the state the Nagaland government has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown till June 18 with a few more relaxations to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The decision was taken in the High Power Committee meeting and after a thorough discussion with all the District Task Forces,  the Nagaland government has decided to extend the lockdown in the state till June 18.

Nagaland government spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon said that, the High Power Committee after thorough discussion with all the District Task Forces has decided to extend the lockdown till June 18 with further relaxations. Respective DTFs will issue necessary orders for relaxations as per the situation in the districts.

On the other hand, the Health and Family Welfare department intensified the COVID vaccination drive from June 8 till June 18 wherein all health facilities and outreach session sites in urban colonies and villages will be covered.
