New Delhi/Indore/IBNS: Amid social media trolls and criticisms by the Aam Aadmi Party over not attending a crucial meeting on Delhi air pollution, former Indian player and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir responded by saying that his work will speak for itself.

"My work will speak for itself! P.S. Agar mujhe gaali dene se Dilli ka pollution kam hoga to AAP jee bhar ke gaali dijiye. cc: Trolls," he tweeted.

The Aam Aadmi Party on Friday attacked Gambhir for skipping the Parliamentary meeting on pollution trouble in Delhi.

Gautam is currently busy with his commentary job for a TV channel during the ongoing Test match between India and Bangladesh in Indore.

"Instead of sitting in commentary box and enjoying...We challenge @GautamGambhir to stop playing blame games over pollution and ATTEND MEETINGS ON AIR POLLUTION which he skipped Contempt of Court! Strict action should be taken against all absentees!  #ShameOnGautamGambhir," the AAP tweeted.

A hashtag #ShameOnGautamGambhir also trended on Twitter.

Ex-Indian cricketer and fellow commentator of Gautam Gambhir, VVS Laxman earlier in the day shared images were the duo could be seen cherishing their breakfast amid commentator's job.
