More than 43 per cent polling in Kerala till 1 pm

Thiruvananthapuram, May 16 (IBNS) Around 43.88 Per Cent of the electorate of Kerala exercised their franchise till 1 pm in the ongoing Assembly polls in the state on Monday.


A total of 1,203 candidates, including 109 women, are contesting for the 140 assembly seats.

The ruling UDF and opposition  LDF are keeping their fingers crossed even as BJP is hoping to get a toe-hold.

However, confident  of winning the polls, Kerala CM Oomen Chandy was quoted in the media as saying, "Confident that people will give us one more opportunity."
