Monsoon likely to arrive Kerala today
Thiruvananthapuram, June 5 (IBNS) The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that monsoon is likely to hit Kerala on Thursday.
"The southwest monsoon is likely to set over Kerala on 5th June with a
model error of ± 4 days. The normal date of onset of monsoon over Kerala is 1st June," said the IMD in a release.
Along with Kerala, the IMD predicted rainfall in coastal Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and some parts of West Bengal.
However, temperature in Uttar Predesh, Delhi and Punjab is likely to remain above 40 degree Celsius on Thursday.
