Modi will become PM again: Assam CM

Guwahati, Apr 21 : Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday reiterated that Narendra Modi will again become the Prime Minister of the country.

The Assam CM said, "We are sure that, Modi will become the Prime Minister of the country for the next time."

“Victory of the BJP and ally parties of the NDA is certain. The people of Assam and the country have already decided it. So there is no reason to worry. Next time the Modi government will definitely be formed,” Sonowal said.

The election campaigning for the third phase of Lok Sabha poll will come to end on Sunday evening.

Voting for the third phase in four Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam – Gauhati, Barpeta, Dhubri and Kokrajhar will be held on April 23.

On the last day of election campaigning for the third phase of Lok Sabha poll, the BJP and Congress on Sunday took out bike rallies in Guwahati and trying to show their strength.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal flagged off the BJP bike rally in support of the party candidate for Gauhati Lok Sabha seat Queen Ojha at Khanapara.

Over 5000 party workers, supporters were took part in the bike rally.

On the other hand, the Congress also took out a bike rally in support of the party candidate for Gauhati Lok Sabha seat Bobbeeta Sharma.

On Saturday night, Assam finance minister and senior BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma took part in a road show in Guwahati.

54 candidates of four Lok Sabha seats are in fray in the third phase of Lok Sabha election and over 74.07 lakh voters will decide fate of the contesting candidates on April 23.

78.27 percent voter turnout was recorded in the first phase of poll in Assam and 81.20 percent in second phase of poll.
