Modi mourns former Odisha CM's death

New Delhi, Apr 21 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday condoled the passing away of former Odisha chief minister JB Patnaik.

"Shri JB Patnaik's contribution to Odisha's development will always be remembered. Saddened on his demise. Condolences to his family. Shri Patnaik will be remembered as a pillar of Odisha politics, a popular leader always connected with people's views and aspirations," the Prime Minister tweeted.

Patnaik died in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati city on Tuesday.

He was 89.
