Modi holds talks with Canadian PM Stephen Harper
Speaking on the meeting, MEA spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted: "Leaders by themselves.India's PM @narendramodi & Canada's @pmharper have a Tete-a-tete."
In the first standalone bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Canada in 42 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ottawa on Wednesday morning.
The purpose of the visit is reportedly to focus on cooperation in energy, including civil nuclear.
He flew to Canada after wrapping up his two-day Germany visit where he attempted to to attract investments for 'Make-in-India' programme.
