MK Stalin inaugurates 77-metre-long India's first glass bridge
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday inaugurated the glass bridge which will connect the Vivekananda Memorial and Thiruvalluvar statue in Kanyakumari.
The bridge features a transparent glass surface which will provide a breathtaking view of the sea below.
Unveiling the bridge, Stalin wrote on X: "Opening of the glass fiber bridge built in the middle of the sea to connect the Ayyan Valluvar statue with the Vivekananda Rock."

"The first day of the 'Valluvam Pottruthum' event was marked by a panel discussion on the benefits of Valluvam, with insightful speeches by scholars!" he said.
The glass bridge, which spans 77 metres (252 feet) in length and 10 metres in width, is a project worth Rs. 37 crores.
The structure connects two major landmarks-Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the 133-foot tall Thiruvalluvar statue.
