Mig 27 of IAF crashes near Jodhpur, pilot safely ejects

Jodhpur, Sept 4 (IBNS) : A Mig 27 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in an area close to Jodhpur on Tuesday while it was on a routine mission, reports said.

Defence spokesperson Col Sambit Ghosh said the  pilot ejected safely from MiG 27 aircraft airborne which crashed near Devariya village  of Jodhpur District.

A court of inquiry  will investigate the cause of the accident, he said.

Police have rushed and the area has been cordoned off.
