Srinagar, May 27 (IBNS) A MiG-21 fighter plane of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The pilot was killed while a co-pilot was injured, said reports.

The plane crashed in a field at Mirhama in Bijbehara  of South Kashmir's Anantnag district.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah earlier tweeted: "Reports coming in of a Mig fighter having crashed in South Kashmir. Hope the pilot & the people on the ground are safe #prayers".
