#MeToo against WFI chief: Protesting wrestlers welcome all parties to Delhi's Jantar Mantar

New Delhi/IBNS: Top Indian wrestlers, who accused Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexually harassing several athletes, have now welcomed all political parties at their protesting site Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

"This time, all parties are welcome to join our protest whether it is BJP, Congress, AAP, or any other party. We are not affiliated with any party," Olympic medalist Bajrang Punia said as quoted by NDTV.

Earlier this year, the athletes had called off their protests after they were assured that a committee would investigate the allegations.

The protesters have now said they won't leave the site unless police file a First Information Report (FIR).

Several women wrestlers have filed complaints with the police accusing Brij Bhushan of sexually harassing them.

The protesters have termed the previous assurances of the probe as "false".

"We will sit here day and night. Till the time we don't get justice. We will sit here," said the wrestler Vinesh Phogat.

In January, the Sports Ministry had formed a five-member committee to investigate the allegations.

The committee was headed by Olympic medalist MC Mary Kom.
