Mayawati hits out at Modi's 'shahi dip', says people won't forgive BJP
Lucknow, Feb 25 (IBNS): Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'shahi dip (royal dip)' in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief, Mayawati, on Monday said people won't forgive the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its misdeeds.
Slamming Modi and BJP in one line, Mayawati, who is also the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, tweeted, "Will a ‘SHAHI’ dip in Sangam by PM Modi be able to wash sins of reneging poll promises, treachery & other state wrongs? Not possible for people to forgive BJP easily for making their life miserable through deeds of Notebandi,GST,Vengeance, Casteism,Communal & Authoritarian rule."

In a follow up tweet, the BSP supremo said the Modi government's Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme is not benefiting farmers but only labourers.
She said: "Modi govt should differentiate between farmers and landless labourers, His Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme of Rs 500 per month may be useful for labourers but not helpful for farmers who wants remunerative price of their produce which BJP govt has failed to ensure. This is a failure."

In the northern state, the BSP and other former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party (SP) formed an alliance to defeat BJP in the upcoming General Elections, which is due to be held by May.
However, the SP-BSP has kept Congress out of the alliance but left Amethi and Rae Bareli seats for the country's oldest political outfit.
Traditionally, Amethi and Rae Bareli are the two Congress bastions.
The poll dates are expected to be announced by the Election Commission (EC) by the end of February.
