Mathura: Police arrest bank manager for raping Russian woman

Mathura, Nov 4 (IBNS): Police have arrested the manager of a nationalised bank for allegedly raping a Russian woman after befriending her on Facebook, reports said.

Though the victim has not been named, police have identified the her as a 20-year-old Russian citizen.

The perpetrator has been identified as Mahendra Prasad Singh, the manager of UCO Bank’s Vrindaban branch.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, Singh befriended her on Facebook last year.

On his advice she landed in India on Sept 17 and stayed in the town of Vrindavan.

Almost five days later, on Sept 22, she was was taken to a house and was raped, which continued since then, the FIR read.

The victim said that she filed the complaint after meeting another Russian woman.
