Manoj Pande meets Nepali PM Sher Bahadur Deuba, discusses various aspects of mutual interest between two nations

Kathmandu: Indian Army chief General Manoj Pande on Tuesday called on Nepali PM Sher Bahadur Deuba when they discussed  various aspects of mutual interest.

They also discussed issues to further cement the ties between India and Nepal.

"General Manoj Pande #COAS #IndianArmy & Hony General #NepaliArmy called on the Right Hon'ble Prime Minister of #Nepal Shri Sher Bahadur Deuba. They discussed aspects of mutual interest & ways to further cement the ties between the two Nations," the Indian Army tweeted.

During the visit, Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari conferred the Honorary Rank of General of the Nepali Army on General Manoj Pande at Sheetal Niwas as per the unique tradition between the two Armies. 

General Manoj Pande also handed over non-lethal military aids to include Artillery Equipment, Mine Protected Vehicles, Medical Stores and Horses to Nepalese counterpart General Prabhu Ram Sharma in Kathmandu on Monday.
