Manjhi party threatens to boycott LS polls if not offered good number of seats

Patna, Dec 28 (The Bihar Post/ IBNS): The Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), a key ally of the Grand Alliance, has threatened to boycott the next Lok Sabha polls if the party was not given “respectable” treatment in matter of seat share.

“Every party has the right to make the best possible bargain for itself. As far as we are concerned, we are standing on the road. Those living in proper houses should make a proper assessment or else they may end up on the road as well,” HAM’s state president Brishen Patel told the media on Wednesday.

Strangely, sharing of seats is yet to be announced among the Grand Alliance partners who are too many.

HAM which is headed by former chief minister Jitan Manjhi became the part of the Grand Alliance in March this year after breaking away from the NDA.

HAM has only one member in the Bihar legislative assembly in the form of Manjhi himself while his son Santosh Kumar Suman represents the party in the Legislative council.
