New Delhi/IBNS: A man opened fire close to the site of the anti-CAA protest in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area on Saturday, media reports said.

The person has been taken to custody.

No casualty has been reported so far.

Eyewitnesses told India Today TV that he threatened Shaheen Bagh protesters, warning them to vacate the premises where they have been holding a protest against the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act and National Register of Citizens since December, before firing in the air.

The latest incident occurred just days after a teenager shot at a protester near Jamia Milia Islamia despite a heavy police presence.

The person, who is said to be a minor, was sent to 14-day preventive custody.
