Mamata Banerjee slams Modi Government for Rafale file stealing from government office

Kolkata, Mar 8 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today slammed the Narendra Modi government alleging that the Prime Minister was now "playing war games" at the time of general elections.

After leading a rally on the city streets to mark the International Women's Day, the All India Trinamool Congress chairperson during an address at Esplanade alleged the Modi government after siphoning the national treasures though note-ban and destroying the constituents national institutions like RBI, CBI, was 'responsible' for theft of Rafale files.

"What the ( BJP) government did in last five years years to check the terrorists attack at Pathancot, Uri and Pulwama. We do not want now the Modi government to play any more the war war games. When the new government would form it will fight terrorists and restore peace in J & K," Banerjee declared amid cheers from the audience.

Railing slogans "Modi hatao desh bachao" Banerjee said the BJP government's time has come to expire and it will spell end at the end of 2019 general polls.

She also claimed that during 2016-2018 in two years some 2 crore people have

been rendered jobless after the demonetisation and the union government one after another destroyed many national constituent institutions and lastly theft the Rafale file.

Banerjee announced that her party would ensure nearly 35 per cent winning members in parliament would be from women.

Earlier leading a walk on foot from the Shraddhananda Park in central part of the city to Esplanade, about 2.5 kms, Ms Banerjee led the rally where a ig chuck of participants were women.

Besides, Banerjee, some of her women cabinet colleagues and have taken part in the rally, which had hand written placards denouncing the Narendra Modi government at the centre and appreciating development works of the state ruling party, particularly for women of the society.

After coming to power in 2011, the Mamata Banerjee led government laid a major emphasis on the empowerment of women, including Kantasree, in the state due to which numerous projects and schemes have been launched.

The rally also choked the city streets in the busy hours as hundreds of vehicles were stranded on BB Ganguly Street and Lenin Sarani leading to Esplanade.
