Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi greet people of Meghalaya, Tripura , Manipur on Statehood Day

New Delhi/UNI: Congress president Mallikaarjun Kharge and MP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday extended their warm wishes to the people of Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur on their Statehood Day.

"Our best wishes to the people of Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur on their Foundation Day," Kharge wrote in a tweet.

The Congress chief said in the last 51 years, since the Statehood, the people of Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur have contributed tremendously to nation building.

"We wish you peace, happiness and unbridled progress," he said.

Taking to Twitter , Rahul wrote, "Best wishes to the people of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura on their respective Statehood day."

He said their rich history and vibrant culture are the pride of India, which we must cherish and nurture.
