Malaysian PM calls for change of tactics to address terrorism

| | Nov 21, 2015, at 04:29 pm
Kuala Lumpur, Nov 21 (IBNS) Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak called for a change of tactics to tackle terrorism, while addressing the ASEAN Summit on Saturday.

Najib, the Chairman of the 2015 ASEAN Summit, was quoted by Bernama as saying, "It is the ideology propagated by these extremists that is the cause of this sadistic violence, and in this time of tragedy we must not lose sight of the fact that the ideology itself must be exposed as the lie that it is - and vanquished. For it is not Islamic. It cannot be."

Najib also said that suicide, be it suicide bombing or just ending an individual's life, is a terrible sin.

Calling terrorism a perverted ideology, he said that those partaking in extremism are disobeying their faith.
