Maharashtra: Two persons dead in accident in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, May 25 (UNI) Two motorcyclists were killed on the spot in an accident, which occurred near Talsande village, on Vathar-Kodoli state highway, in Panhala tehsil of this district on Saturday morning.

According to Peth Vadgaon police, deceased, who was identified as Jitendra Sadashiv Vaghmare (39) and Tejas Namdev Gundmire (34), employee in Shiroli MIDC, both resident of Kodoli in Panhala tehsil, were returning to their residence from work.


At Talsande village, near a petrol pump, a speedy dumper collided head-on with their motorcycle, which left both dead on the spot with severe head injuries.
After the incident dumper driver ran away from the spot.


Peth Vadgaon police investigating further.
