Nagpur, Jun 13 (UNI): A police inspector shot at a personnel attached to Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) inside Pinjar police station in Akola district of Maharashtra.

Acting on a complaint made by a local sand contractor with the ACB against PI Nandkishor Nagalkar for demanding bribe Rs 20,000, Bureau's personnel Sachin Dhatrak, along with his team, reached police station for trapping the accused.

In anticipation of an enquiry, Nagalkar allegedly shot at Dhatrak from his service revolver.

However, sources said Nagalkar tried to shot at the sand contractor who lodged complaint against him with the ACB and Dhatrak got injured while saving the complainant.

Seriously injured Dhatrak was rushed to GMCH in Akola by other cops present in the police station.

Further probe was on, police added.
