Maharashtra: Four dead, 20 seriously injured as bus rams into tanker in Ahmednagar

Aurangabad, Feb 23 (UNI) Four passengers died while other 20 sustained serious injuries on Saturday when the bus in which they were travelling hit a milk tanker at Kagoni Phata in Nevasa taluka of Ahmednagar district.

The three deceased have been identified as Sanjay Savale (40), Akash Changad (27), and Kalpesh Vyavhare (22), all hailing from the Buldhana district whereas the fourth victim is yet to be identified.

According to Shani Shingnapur Police, the accident took place in the early morning when the private bus was plying on the Aurangabad-Pune Highway.

The bus dashed the milk tanker from behind and the impact of the severe collision resulted in four deaths on the spot and left 20 others seriously wounded, said police.

The injured are being treated at the Government Hospital of Ahmednagar district, added police.
