Maharashtra: Fire breaks out at chemical godown

Bhiwandi, July 23 (IBNS): A fire broke out at a chemical godown in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi area on Tuesday, media reports said.

Fire fighting operation is currently underway to bring the flames under control.

The cause of the fire is still not known.

No casualty has been reported so far.

On Monday, fire broke out in Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) building in Bandra area of Mumbai.

84 people were rescued from the building.

Speaking to India Today, MTNL Executive Director AK Srivastava said that almost all the people trapped were rescued by 6 pm. A rescue worker was injured in the incident and has been admitted to a hospital.
