Maharashtra: BJP suspends two leaders for supporting anti-CAA resolution

Aurangabad/Maharashtra/UNI: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) state president Chandrakant Patil on Wednesday suspended party leaders Vinod Borade, President of the Municipal Council of Selu in Parbhani district and vice president Balasaheb Rokade of Palam Nagar Parishad for anti party activities.

The two leaders were suspended for supporting anti CAA resolution during the budget in the general body council meeting.

The BJP is in power in both the Selu Municipal Council and Palam Nagar Parishad.

Both of the leaders had brought anti-CAA resolution and passed it in their respective houses.

After the news spread in a section of the media, the party high command took serious note and issued suspension orders against both of them.

This is the first time that in the Marathwada region that BJP ruling body has opposed the CAA bill.
