Mah: 6 foreign-returnees deboarded from train for overlooking COVID-19 isolation period

Mumbai/UNI: Six persons, who recently returned from Singapore and asked to observe self-isolation, were on Thursday deboarded from a train here while travelling to Vadodara.

The Western Railway officials said that the six passengers were deboarded from 19015 Saurashtra Express today morning at Borivali Station.

During the airport check, these persons were stamped with a seal mentioning home quarantine, a preventive step in wake of the COVID-19.

The onboard Deputy Ticket Inspector raised an alarm seeing the stamps on their hands, subsequently, they were deboarded, officials added.

In a similar episode on Wednesday, four persons, who returned from Germany, were deboarded at Palghar Station from 12216 Garib Rath train after rail staff and co-passengers spotted their stamps.
