L&T Public Charitable Trust, SAP partners to empower youth, children in India

Mumbai, July 10 (IBNS): Aiming to positively impact the lives of people in India, SAP has joined hands with L&T Public Charitable Trust (LTPCT) to spread computer literacy amongst youth and children belonging to the economically weaker sections of the society.
As a part of this initiative, SAP & LTPCT will train and equip the underprivileged budding talent through SAP Learning Hub programs and SAP certified courses and thereby generate employment opportunities for these skilled professionals. 
 
SAP and LTPC will also donate laptops to various schools in Talasari village, Maharashtra as a part of this unique program and provide computer education and soft skills training to the students in these schools.
 
Speaking on this occasion, Ashok D. Shahane, Trustee, L&T Public Charitable Trust said, “Our vision is to touch lives, change outlooks and bring about a positive change in the society with the power of education. This initiative is one small step towards the betterment of underprivileged section of our community. Introducing them to the world of endless possibilities, inspire them to dream big and consequently contribute to the development of the country."
 
Mathew Thomas, Vice President – Strategic Industries, SAP India said, “With this learning initiative, we aim at improving the employability of those from low socio-economic backgrounds. By collaborating with L&T Public Charitable Trust, SAP intends to support children, youth and even their teachers by providing critical resources that improve their chances of high quality employment."
 
SAP and LTPCT in association with Pratham Education Foundation will kick-start this initiative with an aim to impart advanced computer education to the children and youth belonging to the socio-economically weak section of nation’s community. The two corporate giants will come together for this humble cause and complement their competencies for the betterment of the society.
