New Delhi/Chennai, Apr 19 (IBNS) : A day after the rival factions of Tamil Nadu's ruling AIADMK agreed to oust party General Secretary V Sasikala and her tainted nephew TTV Dinakaran, the Delhi police on Wednesday issued a lookout notice against the latter in a case of alleged bribery to officials of the Election Commission of India, media reports said.

All airports, sea ports have been alerted with Dinakaran’s details while  immigration officials have been alerted against any attempt by Dinakaran to flee the country.

The move by the crime branch of Delhi police indicates that Dinakaran, also the Deputy General Secretary of AIADMK, may be arrested any time.

He has been accused of trying to bribe EC officials to secure AIADMK's frozen symbol in favour of the faction, led by Sasikala, who is now in jail.

The Crime Branch had earlier arrested an alleged middleman,  Sukesh Chandrashekhar, in connection with the case and booked Dinakaran on the basis of his statement and other findings.

Police said that Dinakaran had struck a deal for Rs 50 crore for helping the AIADMK faction keep the 'two leaves' symbol.

On Tuesday evening, 20 ministers backed by the party MLAs ousted V.K. Sasikala and Dinakaran from the posts of General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary respectively,

The decision was taken at a meeting in Chennai as a proposal for merger between the two warring factions within the AIADMK goes on with  O Paneerselvam, leader of the anti-Sasikala camp, putting his foot down for the ouster of the aunt-nephew duo before any reconciliation.

AIDMK ministers asserted that around 122 party MLAs supported the move of ousting.

Sasikala who the was the interim General Secretary of the party, is currently i serving her term in jail after being convicted for having assets  disproportionate to her known sources of income.

Tamil Nadu minister Jayakumar claimed the decision was taken unanimously.

Paneerselvam and former CM of TN O Paneerselvam are in talks over the merger of their respective camps of AIDMK.
