Lok Sabha Poll: Rs 4,92 cr seized in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Apr 7 (UNI) The city police have arrested six people and seized Rs 4.92 crore from their possession in the city.

The cash was seized when they were transporting it without any valid documents during the last two days in the police station limits of Panjagutta, Osmania University, Golkonda, S R Nagar and among other areas, Hyderabad city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar told media here on Sunday.

As part of implementing Election Code of Conduct (ECC) for April 11 Lok Sabha elections in Telangana, the police had conducted vehicle checks across the city and seized the large quantity of cash when they were transporting it as illegally, he added.
