Landslide hits Jammu and Kashmir's Resai, 7 killed

Jammu, July 15 (IBNS): At least seven people were killed as a landslide hit Sihar Baba, a revered place in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday, media reports said.

The incident left 26 others injured.

The mishap occurred when a loose rock fell down on the devotees who were taking bath at a waterfall in the picnic spot, reports said.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 3.30 pm.

"Seven people were killed and 26 got serious injuries. All the injured have been shifted to Jammu after they were given first aid at district hospital," Tahir Bhat, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Reasi was quoted as saying by The Tribune.
