Lalu urges Mulayam, Maya to enter into alliance
Yadav made the remarks on a day when he was seen sharing the stage with Janata Dal-United (JD-U) leader Nitish Kumar at a public rally in Hajipur area in Bihar on Monday.
Speaking at a rally, Yadav said: "I am appealing Mulayam Singh and Mayawati to enter a maha-alliance."
Campaigning together for the coming Assembly bypolls for 10 seats in Bihar,Kumar and Yadav were seen hugging each other at a rally.
Yadav and Kumar, who have both served as Bihar Chief Minister,are also likely to continue the joint campaign next week in the wake of by-elections for 10 assembly seats scheduled to be held on Aug 21.
The parties entered into a seat-sharing agreement along with the Congress in which both JD-U and RJD will contest in four seats each leaving two to the Congress in the state.
The by-elections in 10 assembly seats are being seen as the semi-finals with all eyes on the state polls scheduled next year.
