Kolkata: Two bike drivers killed in crash

Kolkata, Oct 20 (IBNS): Two bikers were killed in a crash at VIP Road in Kolkata on Monday midnight, reports said.

According to reports, two cousin brothers- Shubhendu Ghosh (23) and Suman Ghosh (22)- were the residents of Kestopur area and were allegedly riding their bike recklessly without wearing helmets on VIP Road.

Following the mishap, they were rushed to a private hospital nearby where they were announced brought dead.

Speaking on reckless driving, one senior officer of Kolkata Traffic Police told IBNS, "Maintaining city's traffic, besides law and order, is the biggest challenge being faced these days. A huge number of bikers ride their bikes recklessly in Kolkata and nearby cities without helmet and sometimes without license too. It is impossible for us to catch everyone during the rush hours. But we have caught few of them."
