Kolkata, Sept 18 (IBNS): A large number of local people attacked an apartment's parking lot and vandalized as many as 70 cars parked there following a road mishap at Panditia Road area in south Kolkata on Sunday, reports said.

According to reports, a woman-drove Mercedes allegedly collided with a speeding scooter at Hazra Road area in the wee hours of Sunday, killing one of the three riders- Abhijit Yadav- and leaving two others- Ramdev Yadav and Mithilesh Yadav- injured.

Alleging that the killer car's driver took shelter in a nearby apartment, local people vandalized as many as 70 vehicles parked there and the building's security room as well in the morning.

A heavy police force, along with Rapid Action Force (RAF), rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
