Kolkata: Family of 3 found dead in Baguiati residence

Kolkata, Sept 12 (IBNS): Bodies of three members of a family were found from a house at Arjunpur Paschimpara area under Kolkata's Baguiati Police Station area in the wee hours of Monday, officials said.

According to reports, police spotted several injuries on the bodies of the trio which indicated that they were killed.

The deceased are : Ganendranath Mitra (60), his wife Bimala Mitra (55) and  daughter Soma Mitra (28).

Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and started probe into the matter.

They have detained at least eight suspects, including three women, for interrogation, officials said.

"It's probably a murder case. Investigation has comenced to ascertain  the motive behind the killing," a senior official of Bidhannagar City Police told IBNS.
