Kolkata: Elderly man surrenders after killing maid

Kolkata, Oct 3 (IBNS): A 75-year-old man on Sunday surrendered to police after reportedly killing a maid in his flat in Kolkata's New Town area, officials said.

According to reports, the man- Subrata Dalal- went to New Town Police Station in late evening and confessed that he killed his maid during a dispute.

Later police went to his flat and recovered the blooded body of 40-year-old maid Radha Sarkar, who was a resident of Kanchrapara in West Bengal's Hooghly district.

The old man, who is a retired engineer, has been arrested and is likely to be produced to a local court on Monday.
