Kolkata bound Air Asia plane makes emergency landing after bird hit

| @indiablooms | Jan 29, 2023, at 10:50 pm

Lucknow: A Kolkata-bound AirAsia flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Lucknow airport after a bird hit just a little while after take-off on Sunday, media reports said.

The airline was making arrangements to accommodate the passengers on another flight.

A similar incident occurred last year when an Akasa Air plane from Ahmedabad to New Delhi had to be grounded following a bird hit.

The airlines have to run compulsory checks and maintenance after a bird hit.

In that incident, the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft suffered radome damage at 1900 feet.
