Thiruvanthapuram, Feb 24 (IBNS) : A 24-year-old man who was harassed on Valentine day by a group of local vigilantes for allegedly indulging in vulgar behaviour in public place, was found hanging outside his house in Kerala’s Palakkad, media reports said.

A suicide note been has found in which he has cited the harassment on Valentine's Day as the reason for taking the extreme step, police said.

Aneesh, 22, and his girl friend were assaulted and harassed on February 14 near Azheekkal beach in Kollam by a group of five men.

The miscreants also videotaped the couple, asking the woman humiliating questions and circulated the video on social media.

The  couple complained to the police and the accused were arrested.

According to reports, Aneesh turned upset and stayed aloof since then.

He hung himself from a tree outside his home on Thursday.
