Kerala sports minister says Muhammad Ali won medals for his state
Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 5 (IBNS): In an embarrassing comment, Kerala Industry and Sports Minister EP Jayarajan said legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, who died on Saturday, won many medals for Kerala in his heydays.
Speaking to Manorama News, the minister said that he had just come to know of the death of Mohammed Ali in the US.
Praising the legendary boxer, he said, Muhammad Ali won "many medals for Kerala in his heydays."
The comment has now paved way for netizens to criticise the minister on social media.
