Kerala High Court allows screening of 'Sexy Durga' in IFFI 2017

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 21 (IBNS): The Kerala High Court on Tuesday allowed the screening of Malayalam film 'Sexy Durga' at the 48th Indian Film Festival of India (IFFI), media reports said.

The Sanal Sasidharan directorial film was earlier dropped from the final list of the films to be screened at the IFFI by Information and Broadcasting ministry.

Both the films were approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Following the drop of the Malayalam film, director-actor Sujoy Ghosh resigned as the Indian Film Festival Jury head on Tuesday.

Apart from 'Sexy Durga',  Ravi Jadhav's Marathi film 'Nude' was also dropped from the final list of the films.

The 48th IFFI started on Nov. 20 in Goa.
