Kerala: Goods train derails at Ambalappuzha
Kottayam/UNI: Rail traffic was disrupted between Haripad and Ambalappuzha following the derailment of a goods train carrying metal for track widening works at Ambalappuzha on Sunday.
The derailment caused cracks on the tracks. This led to several passenger trains being stopped at various stations, railway sources said.
No casualty was reported.
Following the accident, Kayamkulam-Ernakulam MEMU, Alappuzha-Kannur Intercity Express and Hapa-Tirunelveli Express were halted at various stations.
